Drug trafficker Christine Marie Leblanc, of Englewood, was sentenced to 10.5 years in prison as a Habitual Felony Offender for trafficking drugs in Charlotte County. She was adjudicated guilty of Trafficking in Methamphetamine 28-200 grams and Trafficking in Fentanyl.

On April 13, 2025, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop near Elkcam and Midway Boulevard after a car passed without properly working brake lights and then made an improper turn.

The defendant was a passenger in the vehicle and was holding a bag as the deputy approached. She left the bag in the car when the occupants were ordered out of the vehicle.

A Deputy K9 alerted to the odor of narcotics in the vehicle. A trafficking amount of meth and Fentanyl were discovered in the bag. The bag also contained about $3,000 in cash and a BB gun belonging to the defendant.

Assistant State Attorney Nolan Deming prosecuted the case.
