Suncoast: Keeping the streets clean! Police make an illegal dumping arrest

After receiving a report of illegal dumping on Drennon Street in Port Charlotte, Detective Traniello responded and began his investigation yesterday morning.

By the afternoon, Det. Traniello had identified the suspect as James A. Hutcheson (6/6/1978), who confessed, cleaned the mess, and was arrested for Littering Over 500 Pounds Commercial or Hazardous Waste (felony).

As we move deeper into storm season, this type of littering is not only an eyesore, but also a danger as it can become airborne in the wind or cause clogs in drainage systems.

We want to keep our community beautiful and safe, and we will hold anyone accountable that threatens that.
