CITY OF NORTH PORT, FL – City Manager Jerome Fletcher’s “North Port United” Tour, a series of community engagement and discussion sessions, is coming to the American Legion Post 254, 6648 Taneytown St., on Aug. 5 at 6 p.m. This event is open to the public.
“North Port United” aims to bring together City leadership and North Port residents to discuss the future of our growing city. Sessions have been held in various parts of North Port and have touched on topics including the City’s budget, zoning, the widening of Price Boulevard, the Nov. 5 general election and more.
“We hope citizens will take this opportunity to come out and engage with their local government,” Fletcher said. “These events are mutually beneficial and a perfect opportunity to learn from each other.”
North Port Forward, a nonprofit organization encouraging dialogue and civic involvement, has officially partnered with the City to organize and host the tour series.
The Aug. 5 event at American Legion Post 254 will include a brief presentation and an opportunity for citizens to have their questions answered by City staff. Online registration is required. Each person must register individually. Seating is limited. Please, no walk-ins. Light refreshments will be served.
