SCFD free car seat safety inspection appointments available

We’ve previously shared information about Sarasota County Fire Department’s free car seat safety inspections, and the original announcement can be found attached. Please see the below reminder for our upcoming available appointment dates. Thank you for your help in sharing this information with our community.
Appointments are open for Sarasota County Fire Department’s upcoming free car seat safety inspections on April 4, May 1 and June 6. Inspections are free, by appointment only and performed by SCFD Child Passenger Safety Technician-qualified personnel. Appointments are expected to last approximately 30 minutes. Those interested in learning more about how to schedule a car seat safety inspection are encouraged to dial 311. More information on Sarasota County Fire Department programs can be found at scgov.net/fire.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, 46% of car seats and booster seats are used incorrectly. More information on car seat safety or to register your car seat and booster seat can be found at nhtsa.gov.
