This week John Cathcart McCartney (84) of North Port was convicted for his victimization of three young juveniles. The conviction stems from our charges in 2014.
Found guilty of the following:
1. Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a child less than 12 years of age by a person 18 years of age or older.
2. Unnatural and Lascivious Act.
3. Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a child less than 12 years of age by a person 18 years of age or older.
4. Lewd or Lascivious Molestation of a child less than 12 years of age by a person 18 years of age or older..
5. Lewd or Lascivious Exhibition to a victim less than 16 years of age.
We commend the brave victims who stood up against evil. We also thank the State Attorney’s Office 12th Judicial Circuit for their continued commitment to prosecuting these types of individuals.
