Suncoast: State attorney indicts Thomas James Matejeck on two counts of Murder In The First Degree

State Attorney Ed Brodsky announced today that Thomas James Matejcek was Indicted for two counts of Murder In The First Degree. The crimes were committed on 11/10/2023 and investigated by the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office.
The crimes carry a maximum possible sentence of life in prison.
On 11/10/23 the defendant went to his mother’s home at 219 55th Ave. Ter. W. in Bradenton and confronted his mother and her boyfriend (the victims). A concerned neighbor called 911 after hearing troubling noises coming from inside the home. As the defendant left the home he was confronted by police and fled. He was eventually apprehended and arrested on two counts of murder after law enforcement found both victims murdered inside the home.
