City administrative offices close for Memorial Day on May 29 | City of Sarasota

Sarasota, FL: City of Sarasota administrative offices will be closed Monday, May 29, in observance of Memorial Day.

 

Residential garbage, recycling and yard waste collection and commercial garbage collection schedules will be unaffected by the holiday.

 

Hours of operation at recreation and cultural arts facilities are as follows:

 

 

The city, in conjunction with the Sarasota Patriotic Observance Committee, will host the annual Memorial Day parade at 10 a.m. Monday, May 29, in downtown Sarasota, to be followed by a ceremony at approximately 11 a.m. at Chaplain J.D. Hamel Park.

 

Due to the parade, the Bay Runner will operate a modified route from South Lido at Ted Sperling Park to the Ringling Boulevard-Palm Avenue intersection from 8 a.m. until the conclusion of the parade and ceremony at about noon Monday.
