ShorePoint Health Venice is facing a lawsuit form an employee for the lack of advance notice on closing the hospital down

Francesco Abbruzzino, The Uncensored Report, LLC

Shorepoint health Venice Hospital is facing a lawsuit by a former employee Callie White.  The employee is alleging that the hospital violated federal law.  The employee may be right, and I know this from some clinics that we have closed throughout the years.  Our most recent clinic was earlier this year and we wanted to close the clinic immediately, but the law dictated that we could not.  We had to provide notice to our patients primarily and allow them enough time to find a new PCP.

This individual filed a claim under the WARN Act, which is different than the other issue I mentioned above.  WARN states that employers with over 100 full-time employees have to provide a 60 day notice, if laying off 50 or more individuals at one location.
