City of Venice is discontinuing potable water service to the island around 8pm

The City of Venice Utilities Department is discontinuing potable water service to the island of Venice at approximately 8 p.m. this evening (Tuesday, 9/27) as Hurricane Ian approaches. Water service will be left off throughout the duration of the storm and while any repairs are completed.
Please prepare accordingly and collect and store as much water as possible, including bottled water, plastic jugs, filling your bathtub, etc. Another advisory will be issued once water service has been restored.
We appreciate your understanding and know that the City is doing everything possible to ensure the health and safety of our customers. Stay safe and be well.
