Venice Police with cooperation from the Sarasota Police arrest Randall Haus on charges of Capital Sexual Battery on a Victim under 12-years-old and four counts of Possession of Child Pornography.

Randall Haus, 56, of Sarasota, has been arrested and is facing charges of Capital Sexual Battery on a Victim under 12-years-old and four counts of Possession of Child Pornography. Haus is currently being held at the Sarasota County Jail.
In November 2021, Venice Police detectives called Sarasota Police detectives for assistance with a child pornography case. Detectives in Venice said Haus was at a facility in Venice but lived in the City of Sarasota. An employee at the facility called Venice PD to report suspected child pornography on Haus’ tablet. Haus admitted to having pornographic images on his tablet and told Venice PD detectives he had numerous DVDs and a computer at his home in the City of Sarasota that had similar videos.
Sarasota Police detectives interviewed Haus as part of their investigation. During the interview, Haus admitted to possessing the images he had at the facility in Venice as well as having additional images at his home. During the interview, Haus confessed to touching two young boys between 1990 and 1991. Sarasota Police detectives spoke with one of the victims who wanted to move forward on charges of Capital Sexual Battery.
A search warrant was executed at Haus’ home in the 1300 block of Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota, and Sarasota Police detectives found more than 1,000 DVDs. Detectives validated the photos on several of the DVDs were either child or adult pornography.
