Fauci Refutes Biden: No New Lockdowns, But ‘Things Going To Get Worse’ As Delta Variant Spreads

NIAID Director Dr. Anthony Fauci warned that “things are going to get worse” in the U.S. as the so-called COVID delta variant spreads, but claimed there won’t be more lockdowns.

ABC’s “This Week” host Jonathan Karl asked Fauci on Sunday if America would return to lockdowns as Joe Biden had recently suggested.

“John, I don’t think we’re gonna see lockdowns. I think we have enough of the percentage of people in the country — not enough to crush the outbreak — but I believe enough to not allow us to get into the situation we were in last winter,” Fauci said.

Fauci then asserted that the delta variant outbreak is due to unvaccinated people, despite numerous reports that many new cases are coming from vaccinated individuals.

“We are seeing an outbreak of the unvaccinated,” Fauci said.

“So we’re looking not I believe to lock down, but we’re looking to some pain and suffering in the future because we’re seeing the cases go up, which is the reason why we keep saying over and over again: The solution to this is get vaccinated and this would not be happening.”

The CDC recently admitted that 74% of new cases in Massachusetts came from “fully vaccinated” individuals, contradicting Fauci’s claims that the vaccine is effective against the China Virus.

Additionally, data out of Gibraltar and Iceland show COVID cases skyrocketing despite 90% of their populations being vaccinated.

This signals two things: first, the vaccine is not effective against the coronavirus, and second, the delta variant is not nearly as deadly as the medical establishment is reporting.

But that hasn’t stopped Joe Biden from floating the “probability” of another round of lockdowns, which the White House was forced to walk back on Friday after intense backlash.

“We are not going to head towards a lockdown,” White House Principal Deputy Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said.

Given the Biden administration’s consistently contradictory messaging and guidance on COVID – such as mask wearing for the fully vaccinated – Americans likely no longer trust the federal government at its word.
