Watch: Billionaire Warren Buffett Predicts New Pandemic “Worse than Covid”

Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett eerily predicted humanity’s in for another pandemic due to be worse than the Covid-19 outbreak that dealt a devastating blow to the global economy.

 

“I learned that people don’t know as much as they think they know, but the biggest thing you learn is the pandemic was bound to occur and this isn’t the worst one that’s imaginable at all,” Buffett said Thursday during an interview with CNBC.

“Society has a terrible time preparing for things that are remote, that are possible and will occur sooner or later.”

 

“There’ll be another pandemic, we know that. We know there’s a nuclear, chemical, and biological and now cyber threat, and we know each one of those has terrible possibilities and we do some things about it, but it’s just not something that society seems particularly capable of fully coming to grips with.”

 

“The cyber threat — we just started,” Buffett chuckles, adding, “and look at the damage that’s already been done.”

 

“Charlie and I have been ungodly lucky in many ways, but the luckiest thing was actually being around at this time and point [laughs], and we also had these problems and out of 200 countries and over 7 and half billion people and a lot of tensions and all sorts of things and different systems and selected governments and how do we actually do this so that mankind 50, 100 and 20 years from now…”

 

During the same interview, Buffett’s buddy, Berkshire Vice Chair Charlie Munger, said he admired the Communist Chinese regime’s ability to control its economy and keep revolutionaries like Alibaba billionaire Jack Ma from meddling in the nation’s finances.

 

 

“Communists did the right thing,” Munger said. “They just called in Jack Ma and say, ‘You aren’t gonna do it, sonny.’ And, and I wish we had a – I don’t want the, all of the Chinese system – but I certainly would like to have the financial part of it in my own country.”
