Individual dies after being struck by a car overnight in Nokomis

Some sad news overnight, another pedestrian was fatally hit by a car on the Suncoast. It happened last night around 10:30, on 41 north of Laurel Rd. Traffic was closed down on all northbound lanes for a few hours, as the SCSO investigated the fatal crash.
The crash involved a single vehicle and an individual that appeared to be on a bicycle, based upon what witnesses saw at the scene.
