Sarasota County has begun a phased reopening focused on the health, safety and well-being of our community, employees and seasonal visitors.

 

City of Venice

 

Below are updates on the County’s response, including in the City of Venice:

 

 Tennis and pickleball courts reopened May 2, including those at Hecksher Park in Venice.

 Parking at all County-operated beaches, including those in Venice, reopened May 4.

 Curbside pickup has begun at County libraries.

 Radio Control Flyers facilities at Pinelands and Rothenbach parks opened to MEMBERS ONLY May 6.

 Siesta Beach concessions may start resuming operations Thursday, May 7, Venice Beach on Friday, May 8, and the North Jetty on Monday, May 11.

 Commercial recreational tour operators may offer rentals ONLY at county kayak launches as of May 9.

 

Sarasota County and the City of Venice are planning for the future availability of dog parks (including the Paw Park in Venice), playgrounds, basketball courts, summer camp, athletic fields, and hazardous waste collection sites.
