Fire department responds to a fire at the Sunseeker Resort

We responded to Sunseeker Resort Thursday afternoon for a report of fire on multiple floors. Responding crew used water cans (they look like big silver fire extinguishers and are filled with water) and the buildings fire extinguishers to extinguish several small fires on the second, third and fourth floors.

We checked out eight workers who refused any further treatment.

Charlotte County Fire Marshal Scott Morris responded and is investigating the fires with the assistance of the State Fire Marshal.
