I agree, this should be an easy issue to get implemented. The problem comes from the Republican controlled state legislature. They undermine “home rule “ and block our ability to protect our own community on many issues.

Hello Ron, I have recently returned from a trip to London. What a wonderful city it is. Did you know my entire time eating out there was not a plastic straw in sight? If a city with a large population of residents and visitors can get rid of plastic straws surely our little town of Venice could do the same. It’s a small step I know, but it is a step towards decreasing plastics in our environment.Martha
