Warning! An emerging class of opioids is more lethal than fentanyl
FDLE crime labs are increasingly seeing more Nitazene opioids. Thankfully, we have not seen this here in Charlotte County, but want to alert the community of emerging trends.
The drugs, nicknamed “Frankenstein opioids,” were originally developed for pain relief about 60 years ago, but because of the high potential for overdose, they were never approved by the Food and Drug Administration for medical use anywhere in the world.
