North Port High student struck by a car this morning

A North Port High student was hit by a car on the way to school this morning. The incident took place after 7am and occurred in front of the school. The student was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
This morning NPPD and NPFR responding to an incident near NPHS on Price Blvd. involving a student being struck by a vehicle. The child appears to be a NPHS student and is being transported by his parents to the hospital w/ non life threatening injuries.

The pedestrian is a NPHS student and has non-life threatening injuries. LARGE police presence and traffic is backed up in every direction.
