A group of anti-vaccine mandate and anti-vax passport protesters were arrested Wednesday night for entering New York City’s Museum of Natural History without showing their vaccine passports.

Despite securing a reservation at the museum, security refused to let the group inside without showing a vaccine passport.

One woman named Joy spoke her mind while demonstrating inside the building, saying, “We should be able to, as New York City residents, to access the amenities and the services that this city holds because I pay taxes.”

“I should be allowed to access this, but I’m not allowed to,” she added. “It’s Jim Crow all over again.”

Another protester, Mike, said he has been going to the museum since he was a child.

He continued, saying, “It’s hard to process being kept out, as someone who worked for museum security for nine years at the MET, it twists my mind into knots and my heart as well that we’re at this point in history.”

At one point, an argument broke out when security refused to let a woman in the protesting group use the restroom.

The employees eventually agreed to escort her to the bathroom and back.

Eventually, NYPD officers arrived and arrested six demonstrators altogether, including a nine-year-old girl named Jayla who cried as police walked her to a squad car.

“You are traumatizing a little child,” protesters told the police. “This is child abuse!”

Musician and activist Jimmy Levy posted a video of Jayla and the other demonstrators being released from jail, writing, “We are so proud of you Jayla! Stay strong for all of us! She is doing ok, I just spoke to her incredible mom Maria! Everyone else is ok too! God is watching everything going on in this Aching World, there will be consequences for those who committed the crimes against humanity, as well as those who stayed silent during them!”

In the footage of Jayla being released, she can be seen hugging her friend, a wheelchair-bound activist named Julie who was ticketed by police earlier this week for trying to eat dinner at a Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. restaurant.

Julie talked with Owen Shroyer on Wednesday’s broadcast of War Room to further detail the ongoing political battle New Yorkers are currently engaged in.
