Frustration building over homeless in Venice

My niece lives in Venice, California. They say it is disgusting with the homeless destroying everything. Why are we letting Venice, Florida follow this form of Government? We live near the library. Homeless sleeping in the doorways of local businesses, leaving garbage everywhere they go. The homeless have taken over the park at the Venice train station-the beginning of the Legacy Trail!!! Who are these people? They appear to be young and healthy-why not make them clean the parks. Are they ex-cons or on the run from another state? Who knows? I see them being provided with food, clothes etc. by do -gooders at the train station. The do-gooders probably live in gated communities. John
