Seeing seaweed?

It is a naturally occurring condition for there to be a wrack line on the beach with seaweed or other type of organics that goes in and out with the tide cycles. The wrack line provides a feeding area for shore birds and sea life. It is not unusual for there to be an odor associated with seaweed and organics as they decompose. Also pictured is near shore sediment deposition.

Pictured below, a sea turtle that nested last night was able to traverse the small soft escarpment. Any deposition of sand in the near shore is a function of natural beach performance.

Additionally, removing seaweed at the wrack line or bringing equipment onto the beach during marine turtle nesting season is not allowed.
The beach renourishment template is dynamic and erodes/deposits sand with the tides, currents and storm events.
