Venice man is in serious condition after being struck by a hit and run driver in Charlotte County

A man from Venice was hit while crossing an intersection, by John Williams out of Punta Gorda. The incident occurred on Edgewater Dr. The Venice man was transported to the hospital in serious condition. Unfortunately, John did not hang around, he ended up taking off from the scene. The police tracked him down at his residence and arrested him on the charge of hit and run.
