Deputies and first responders from multiple local fire departments are in the 100 block of Sunset Beach Drive in Venice in response to the report of an explosion. The home where the explosion occurred is now engulfed in flames and several nearby neighbors have evacuated. The scene is NOT SECURE at this time so we do urge you to avoid this area.
