Saddened to see Venice leave this flag flying at Patriots Park, versus replacing it with a new one
I am not sure if the county or city manages this park. Over a year ago the county gave up management of parks and has been transitioning them to the cities. I know North Port recieved something like a two year waiver on the transition and I am not sure where the City of Venice is in the process. I do believe that certain parks are still managed by the county and this may be one. – Frankie

This is what APPEARS to be the fire department flag in Patriots Park, just feet from the piece of Twin Tower honoring the fallen of 9/11. Very sad to be that it has reached such a state and not replaced before the anniversary of 9/11 when so many firefighters lost their lives. Don’t know who is responsible but I hope someone can do something about it
