North Port man arrested for use or allow child to engage in sex

Police were called to a WaWa on a disturbance call. During they call the victim encountered a man that she claimed had allegedly “raped” her. The sexual encounters went unreported because she did not know the individuals name and only knew of him as AJ (Adam Branham).
 
While at the WaWa, the victim recognized AJ and confronted him. That triggered the call to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s office. The sexual intercourse occurred in North Port, so the NPPD were called to the scene.
 
Through their investigation, they uncovered that AJ had sexual acts with the child several times over course of one year. I state child because AJ is also being charged with lewd and lascivious on a child between the age of 12-16. The incidents took place at the local skate park and are graphic in detail. AJ admitted to having a sexual encounter with the victim several times, despite knowing her age. AJ considered the victim a “friend with benefits”.
