North Port Police executed a search warrant on Myrtlewood Rd, seizing cocaine and pills

Grand closing! Wednesday the Special Investigations Unit executed a search warrant in the 6300 block of Myrtlewood Rd. A search of the residence resulted in the seizure of cocaine, prescription pills, and numerous pieces of drug paraphernalia. Two subjects were arrested from the residence.

 

William VanName was arrested for Obstruction of Service or Execution of Search Warrant after he hid within the residence and refused to exit when ordered to do so. VanName was found hiding in the garage by the Special Response Team when entry was made into the home.

 

James Komosa was arrested on an unrelated felony retail theft charge. Additional charges are pending.
Additional arrests of others involved in the sales of illegal drugs occurring from this residence are expected.
