NORTH PORT FIRE – North Port Fire Rescue is thrilled to announce its inaugural Open House event taking place on Jan. 20 at the new Fire Training Tower located at 6664 W. Price Blvd. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and promises fun for the entire family. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Complete with interactive displays, a Junior Firefighter Challenge obstacle course, training tower tours, bounce houses, face painting, tours of fire trucks and ambulances, and a meet and greet with local firefighters, a good time is guaranteed. You will not want to miss the live fire demonstration being conducted in cooperation with the National Fire Sprinkler Association. Attendees will receive free T-shirts and other swag as well as hot dogs while supplies last. Food can also be purchased from on-site food trucks.

“We are so excited to be able to do this for our community,” said North Port Fire Chief Scott Titus. “We are very proud of our fire department and greatly appreciate the support of our community. So often, our only interaction with our residents is under times of duress when they have called 911 due to an emergency. We look forward to meeting those we serve in this fun and festive environment as we move into 2024 and celebrate ‘another best year ever.’ ”

Parking for the event will be on-site with overflow parking at the adjacent North Port High School. Parking and shuttle service will be facilitated by the Imagine School Young Marines and North Port Fire Rescue personnel.
