1 detained after numerous brush fires set in Venice – SNN

VPD Update: VPD has questioned and released one individual so far related to Sunday night’s beach fires investigation. Additional leads are being followed. Several tips have been received, and we appreciate the community’s assistance last night in clearing the area as officers worked with Fire personnel to contain the blazes and attempt to locate the source. As of this morning there is an active investigation, but no arrest has been made yet.
