City of Sarasota put out a proclamation against gun violence

City Commissioners this morning recognized June 2, 2023 as National Gun Awareness Day and pledged to do all they can to reduce gun violence, keep firearms out of the wrong hands and encourage responsible gun ownership.

The proclamation was accepted by representatives from Brady Sarasota , Moms Demand Action ManaSota, Newtown Nation, and the Peace Education and Education Center.
