The four suspects who were apprehended last night (07/03/2025) have been identified as Ilyjah J. Madison (03/12/2004), Cameron Nelson (10/13/2008), Shaheen Williams (06/12/2009), and Elijah Winsett (09/12/2008). All four are being charged with armed robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon. Madison is awaiting medical clearance and will formally be brought into custody upon that clearance. The victim who was shot and injured is expected to fully recover.

The remaining two suspects have been identified as Jaquan A.K. McStay (12/12/2006) and Izaiah M. Harris (10/28/2007). A warrant for armed robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery with a firearm has been issued for McStay. A juvenile pick up order with the same charges has been issued for Harris. These suspects are still at large, and they are considered to be armed and dangerous. If you have any information on their whereabouts, please contact the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office at 941-639-2101 or contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).

“The suspects involved ranged from 16 to 21 and are no strangers to the Sheriff’s Office at this young age. We try to help those in need get on the right track as best we can, but when it comes to crimes such as this, there are no exceptions. They continue to disobey the laws, and now it has escalated to this. Perhaps now we can get them sent away for a while.

I want to issue a strong notice to the two remaining. It would be in your best interest to turn yourselves in because we are coming and we will find you!

I want to commend my uniformed personnel for their quick response and organization which led to the apprehension of the four. I would also like to commend my investigators, forensics unit, and analysts who worked tirelessly following leads and collected evidence, ultimately building this case. They are top notch and I couldn’t be more proud.” – Sheriff Bill Prummell

As a reminder, all Charlotte County Sheriff’s District Offices have designated safe exchange parking spots that can be used for sales such as those via Facebook Marketplace. These parking spots can be utilized by the public and are monitored by video surveillance cameras to ensure the safety of both the buyer and seller.
