SCSO
On June 24, the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) executed a sweep of the county for outstanding warrants. The mission was to enhance public safety by locating and apprehending wanted individuals through a coordinated, intelligence-led operation. The goal was to support victims of crimes and reinforce accountability.
The highly successful operation resulted in 21 arrests within 12 hours. The charges ranged from Failure to Register a Motor Vehicle, Driving Without a License, and Driving while License Suspended to Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon, and Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
Members from the Fugitive Apprehension Unit, Narcotics Enforcement Team, K-9 Unit, Unmanned Aircraft Systems Team, Homeless Outreach Team, Tactical Unit, Traffic Unit, Mounted Patrol Unit, Agricultural Unit, Aviation Unit, and Courts and Corrections Division all assisted in the mission. This is a great example of hard work, dedication, and teamwork at SCSO.
Ongoing missions will remain vital to our continued commitment to community safety.
