Sarasota: Hidden Lakes search warrant nets approx. 40 lbs of cannabis

SPD: On 5/30/25, the Sarasota Police Department, with the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, conducted a search warrant at 2725 Hidden Lakes Dr, Apartment B. The search warrant produced approximately 40 lbs. of cannabis, drug paraphernalia, and 5 firearms. One of the firearms was listed as stolen, and another was listed as being lost. The suspect, Kenneth Scriven, was arrested for maintaining a dwelling where controlled substances are illegally kept, armed trafficking of cannabis, Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, 5 counts, and possession of narcotics paraphernalia. This is an ongoing investigation, and more information will be released at a later date.
