Free Legal Education Event at Selby Library

SARASOTA COUNTY — Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources, in partnership with the Sarasota County Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division, invites the public to a Know Your Rights event on Saturday, June 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Selby Library, 1331 First St. in Sarasota.

This free, community-wide event will give residents access to local attorneys presenting three key legal topics, followed by a question and answer session:

Trusts and Estates – Presented by Andrew Clark and Emily Flinchpaugh

11 to 11:45 a.m. – Presentation

11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. – FAQs and specified questions

Landlord/Tenant Law – Presented by Forest Sutton

1 to 1:45 p.m. – Presentation

1:45 to 2:30 p.m. – FAQs and specified questions

Disaster and Insurance Relief – Presented by Rachel Schadt

3 to 3:45 p.m. – Presentation

3:45 to 4:30 p.m. – FAQs and specified questions

No registration is required to attend the general sessions. Those interested in a one-on-one consultation with an attorney must register in advance.
