Suncoast: Traffic stop turns into a drug bust

CCSO: On May 7th, 2025, a traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle by members of the K9 Unit and STAR Unit. K9 alerted to the presence of narcotics in the vehicle which led to a probable cause search. The Narcotics Unit located and seized 100.3 grams of suspected methamphetamine and the driver of the vehicle Walter Long (01/31/79) was arrested and transported to the Charlotte County Jail on the below charges. He is being held on $97,000 bond.
