North Port is not the dumping ground for trash and violators will be tracked down

If you trash our City, we’re gonna do some digging. Recently, while patrolling the Estates area, our Conservation Unit came across a large pile of debris dumped along the roadside. One of our officers dug in (literally) and uncovered identifying information buried in the mess.
The suspect was tracked down, confessed, and before being arrested was required to properly clean up the debris, saving the city hundreds of dollars. Depending on the amount of debris, you could have a felony dumped on you.
Reminder: If your trash or debris doesn’t fit in your regular pickup, Sarasota County has designated facilities for proper disposal. Dumping it on the side of the road to save a buck? Bad idea. It will cost you more in the long run. We want to keep our City looking beautiful.
