From VPD Chief Leisenring: Help support children of fallen heroes

Please see below message and attached letter from Venice Police Chief Andy Leisenring:

Each year, the FBI National Academy chooses a meaningful cause to rally behind. This year, Class #294 is proud to support C.O.P.S. Kids. This incredible organization provides critical support, counseling, and unforgettable experiences for children who have lost a parent in the line of duty.

As part of National Police Memorial Week, our class is honored to host a special carnival at the Academy for 123 surviving children. This is more than just a fun event — it’s a chance to bring smiles, healing, and a sense of community to kids who have endured unimaginable loss.

Previous classes have raised up to $68,000 for their chosen charities. We believe we can, and must, do more. Our goal is ambitious: $100,000 to help ensure that these children continue to receive the care, comfort, and connection they deserve.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today to support this life-changing cause.
