Turtle Beach Campground Update, March 21

Sarasota County is pleased to announce that limited and partial operations have resumed at Turtle Beach Campground this morning. This is following extensive recovery efforts following several hurricanes in 2024. Campground staff are conducting a phased reopening to ensure all systems function properly.

At this time, only campers with pre-existing reservations will be permitted to check in. Once it’s confirmed that all systems, connections, and facilities are operating smoothly, the reservation system will be fully activated for new bookings. Due to substantial damage from Hurricanes Helene and Milton, the campground bathhouse had to be demolished. Portable restroom/shower trailers will be in place, but no on-site laundry services provided.

We appreciate our community’s patience and understanding while Sarasota County continues to recover from back-to-back hurricanes in 2024. To learn more, visit SarasotaCountyParks.com
