Amira Fox – State Attorney

In Charlotte County, Demario Keith Fenton was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 30 years in prison, followed by lifetime sex offender probation, for four counts of Lewd and Lascivious Molestation on a Child Under 12 Years Old.

Assistant State Attorney Alexa Lipham prosecuted the case.

In 2023, the child victim told an adult about the abuse after watching a puppet school at school about good and bad touch. The defendant then admitted to the abuse when confronted.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office was contacted and their investigation led to the arrest of the defendant. The defendant’s phone was taken into evidence and he had several videos of the abuse on his phone.

This defendant also had a Federal case for the production of child pornography for making the videos of his crimes involving the same child victim. He was sentenced to 15 years in prison in that case to be serve consecutive to this sentence.
