Sarasota County traffic stop leads to a drug bust

SCSO: Yesterday, the Tactical (TAC) Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by David Jones (DOB 6-22-1971). With the assistance of the Narcotics Enforcement Team (NET) K-9 Gunnar, TAC deputies located and seized over 4 grams of fentanyl, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm. Jones was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance (Methamphetamine), Trafficking in Fentanyl, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Weapon or Ammunition by a Convicted Felon.
