Sarasota County: Hit a Home Run with Big League Reader!

Francesco Abbruzzino, The Uncensored Report, LLC

SARASOTA COUNTY – The Big League Reader program is returning for its 15th year. Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources are again teaming up with the Baltimore Orioles to give young readers a chance at a triple play.

Children ages 6-18 can participate by picking up a scorecard from any Sarasota County library. After reading and recording three books, they can return the completed scorecard to the library to receive an Orioles prize and a ticket voucher.

The voucher is good for two tickets to see the Baltimore Orioles take on the Minnesota Twins at Ed Smith Stadium on Sunday, March 9, at 1:05 p.m. The voucher can be redeemed online by March 5.

Big League Reader is a partnership between Sarasota County Libraries and Historical Resources and the Orioles, promoting literacy and a love of reading. For more information or to locate a library location, visit www.SarasotaCountyLibraries.org or call 311.
