NPPD arrest a man that robbed two teens at gunpoint

Wednesday, Alexander Gonzalez of Bradenton thought it would be a good idea to travel to North Port and robbed two juveniles he met online at gunpoint. Thankfully, both kids were unharmed.

Our team immediately tracked down Gonzales to Bradenton. He was arrested with help from the Manatee County Sheriff’s Office and their SWAT team.

“To anyone thinking they can come into our city and commit crimes, think again. We will go to great lengths to find and hold accountable anyone who threatens the safety of our community, especially our children.” says Chief Todd Garrison.

Gonzalez is now in the Manatee County Jail, facing charges of grand theft and robbery with a firearm.
