A woman claiming to provide aroma therapy in Port Charlotte was arrested for prostitution by an undercover deputy.

The Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Unit conducted an undercover investigation on a Port Charlotte business that claimed to provide aroma therapy. The business, called “Honey Bee – The Scent Shop”, was located at 795 Crestview Circle NW in Port Charlotte. Detectives found a website for the business, which depicted numerous young ladies and identified which would be working on any given day.

As the detectives investigated the business, they continued to receive numerous tips about what was happening inside. An undercover detective then made an appointment with the intention of verifying the activity being alleged.

Upon arriving to the business, the detective was greeted by a woman who introduced herself as “Diamond”, who was later identified as Katherine R. Geuther (10/31/2003). Geuther led the detective to a small room with a massage table and a desk, and stated the costs for a 30-minute or 60-minute appointment.

Following this, the detective prepared for the appointment. Geuther stepped out for a moment and immediately removed her clothes upon returning, attempting to engage in sex acts with the detective. The detective declined and headed for the exit. At that time, Geuther was placed under arrest for attempting to solicit prostitution. She was transported to the Charlotte County Jail and has since bonded out.

These disgusting acts are not welcome in Charlotte County, and we will continue to combat them as we learn they are happening. Thank you to the several people who provided tips about what was really going on here. It is so great to serve in a community that cares and wants this type of garbage cleaned up. Sometimes that means we have to be the Charlotte County Sanitation Department, and that’s OK as long as we get the outcome that’s best for our community.”
