Sarasota County Schools sets a record-breaking 92.5% graduation rate for the 2023-2024 school year

🎓 BIG NEWS! We’re proud to announce a record-breaking 92.5% graduation rate for the 2023-2024 school year—the highest in district history (excluding 2019-20). All traditional public high schools surpassed a 90% graduation rate, with Oak Park School, Suncoast Polytechnical High School, and Pine View School for the Gifted achieving a perfect 100%!

 

Highlights include:
– Booker High School achieved a remarkable 5% increase in graduation rates over the past year and a 7% improvement over five years, reaching 90.6%.

 

– Sarasota High School saw an impressive year-over-year increase of 6.7%, achieving a 93.2% graduation rate, its highest in five years.

 

– North Port High School achieved a 3.3% increase in graduation rates over the past year, reaching 90.8%, demonstrating steady progress.

 

– Venice High School continues to excel, achieving a graduation rate of 96.9%, marking a 1.4% increase from last year.

 

Special shoutout to our Hispanic students (+6.1%) and ELL students (+15.8%) for their incredible progress!
