Sarasota Police arrest and charge three juveniles and one adult with the aggravated battery of a 67-year-old Sarasota man. On October 13, 2024, shortly after 2 a.m., Sarasota Police officers responded to a report of a battery incident near the 200 block of South Orange Avenue. The victim reported being attacked by four young men, who allegedly struck him with their fists and a tree branch. One of the suspects also reportedly threw a rock at the victim, causing visible head injuries.
The victim described the suspects as four young white males who fled the scene in a white four-door car or gray SUV. Officers immediately canvassed the area and located a vehicle matching the description. During a traffic stop, officers identified the occupants as Ethan Craig, 17; Logan Pollard, 16; Nathan St Onge, 15; and “Mitch Houndoras,” later identified as Adrian Zambrana, 18. At the time of the stop, there was insufficient evidence to make an arrest.
Detectives from the Sarasota Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division took over the case. Through an extensive investigation, including video evidence and additional interviews with the victim, detectives confirmed details of the incident. Surveillance footage from October 13, 2024, showed four individuals, one appearing to carry a large tree branch, approaching the location on South Orange Avenue and subsequently attacking the victim. The individuals in the surveillance footage were identified as the same four individuals from the early morning traffic stop.
Based on the evidence, all four suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with the October 13, 2024, aggravated battery incident.
