The Venice Police Department is sponsoring a Bicycle Safety Rodeo for youth ages 3-10 this Saturday, Oct. 5, from 9 a.m. to noon at Venice Elementary School, 100 Miami Ave. E.

Join VPD, Venice Fire Rescue, the Sarasota Manatee Bicycle Club, Real Bikes, and Bicycles International for a morning of fun and learning bike safe skills. Bring your child’s bike. Free helmets for all kids who attend, plus each bike will be inspected and fitted to the rider. Kids can ride around the neighborhood with Venice Police bike officers.

Bicycle repairs will also be offered. Free T-shirts for the first 50 children. Food and drinks available.
