Sarasota Police investigating a death

The Sarasota Police Department is investigating a death near the 300 block of N Washington Drive.
Officers responded to a report of a deceased man outside of a house at about 4 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024. It is apparent the man was there for several days. He has not yet been identified.
The cause of death is under investigation, but we want to assure the public that this is believed to be an isolated incident and the public is not in danger. There are no signs of foul play.
