The final pass for storm debris collection in the Bellvue Terrace neighborhood is underway.

Flood-impacted residents within the Bellevue Terrace neighborhood are reminded to separate structure flooded storm debris into three piles:

Construction debris: Carpeting, dry wall and other flood-impacted construction materials

White goods: Appliances including refrigerators, ranges, washing machines, dryers, air conditioning units and water heaters

Bulk items: Furniture and accessories, mattresses and other items affected by flood water within a home or structure

Residents should not use plastic bags to contain structure flooded debris.

Place debris piles at least 6-feet away from mailboxes, utility poles, fire hydrants, backflow preventers, water meter boxes etc. to allow collection equipment access to safely pick up the debris.

So far, approximately 2,200 tons of debris from Hurricane Debby have been collected. An additional amount of at least 280 tons is expected to be removed throughout this week.
