Domestic shooting incident in North Port leads to two arrest

Earlier this week NPPD units responded to a domestic related shooting incident in the 2300 blk of Duar Ter. One of eight shots struck a home there surrounding an argument with family members. After a lengthy investigation, the Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU) was able to develop multiple serious felony charges on Jamie Parrett and Alexander Toussaint Jr. Warrants were issued for their arrest.
Wednesday, NPPD’s CIU, Special Enforcement Team, K9 and Intel Units were able to apprehend Parrett in Venice with the assistance of the FDLE. She was arrested without incident.
Thursday, FDLE and the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office were able to track down and apprehend Toussaint Jr. in Tampa. He was also arrested without incident.
Both are charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon Without Intent to Kill, Discharging a Firearm from a Vehicle, and Discharging a Missle into a Dwelling.
