City of Sarasota leaves the millage rate at 3.000

The City Commission unanimously set the preliminary operating millage rate for the proposed Fiscal Year 2024-25 budget at 3.0000 mills, the same millage rate as the current fiscal year.

“The City is in a sound financial position to boost customer service for our residents and take on new capital improvement projects to meet our needs and make our community even better,” said Mayor Liz Alpert, Sarasota City Commissioner-District 2.
