Sarasota GOP states that radical trans activists are working with NYC production crews to disrupt Sarasota School Board meetings

SARASOTA, Fla. (June 21, 2024) A disturbing reality has emerged that far left radicals are not just pushing for a dangerous trans ideology in Sarasota County schools, and they are working with a New York City production crew to disrupt every School Board meeting. Apparently, this NYC crew is doing a “documentary” on Florida schools and want to focus on Sarasota County, which will create even more of a circus.
This is not about education. And there is nothing organic here. This is a highly sophisticated operation to wear down responsible School Board members fighting to protect children from a dangerous philosophy, and fighting to protect the rights of parents to be in control of their children.
All the details are laid out in the attached “Talking Points” put about by ultra woke SEE group, Social Equity Through Education Alliance, which has pushed for the entire trans agenda, including forcing girls in Sarasota County schools to share their bathrooms and locker rooms with boys.
Their Talking Points has a strategy section, overview, QR codes and multiple calls to actions against School Board members who are protecting students. There are then several pages of detailed information for their activists to come up to the podium to use to berate School Board members. Again, the media should understand this is not organic. This is well organized and funded. And it has one goal: the radical trans agenda that more and more Americans are rising up against.
Fortunately, the pro-parent, pro-student conservative 4-1 majority led by Chair Karen Rose are standing strong. They are seeing very real improvements in academics despite all of the damage these outside groups are trying to inflict on our schools. They aren’t backing down to the left and remain focused on academic achievement, as our increase in reading scores prove.
We are calling on leftist School Board member Tom Edwards to denounce the behavior of his allies and campaign supporters. And we’re calling on the media to do its journalistic due diligence to really look into who is behind all of this.
Taxpayers, parents, retirees, the working people of Sarasota County want our School Board focused on education and the next generation, not a far left political agenda.
